Douglas K. Weigel

Douglas Weigel has been a civil trial lawyer since 1997. Prior to joining Floyd, Pflueger & Ringer in 1999, Doug clerked for a judge in Eugene, Oregon, and then spent two years working for a large litigation firm in Portland.

Doug has tried several cases, including a broker malpractice jury trial in King County in which plaintiff asked the jury to award more than $4 million in damages for a fire loss, but the jury only awarded $95,000.

Doug has also arbitrated several cases, including a commercial property, water damage case in Clark County in which liability was contested, but damages were not. Doug graduated from the University of Virginia in 1991 with majors in Environmental Science and Foreign Affairs. Doug completed his J.D. at the University of Oregon in 1995. He was active in moot court competitions and trial practice throughout law school, and served as a judge for those competitions after graduating.

Doug is an avid runner, cyclist and hiker and enjoys spending his spare time traveling and exploring Whidbey Island with his family.
