Rebecca S. Ringer
Rebecca S. Ringer has worked as a civil trial lawyer since 1983, first in New Jersey and New York before relocating to Washington in 1987.
Rebecca's work has always emphasized complex civil litigation with a particular emphasis on the defense of professional negligence claims against physicians and other health care providers. She has also handled medical device and product liability claims. Rebecca has successfully defended health care providers in claims concerning timeliness of cancer diagnosis, proper interpretation of radiology studies, proper management of labor and delivery and many other areas. A major area of practice emphasis is the representation of health care providers involved in licensing matters. Rebecca has tried well over fifty civil jury trials.
Rebecca's peers awarded her an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. For several years, she has been selected a Super Lawyer by Washington Law & Politics which also described Rebecca as one of the top 50 Women lawyers in the state. In 2007, Seattle Metropolitan magazine recognized Rebecca as one of the top five Seattle lawyers in the field of medical malpractice. She is also a member of the Washington chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates and will assume the office of vice president in 2008.
After graduating with highest distinction from the University of Kansas in 1980, Rebecca attended law school at Cornell University. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Rebecca has been invited to speak at numerous seminars for health care providers, the American Hospital Association, and legal seminars on topics related to her areas of practice. Rebecca's hobbies include reading, tennis and cooking but her true passion is her family.
