Tammy L. Williams
Tammy is a 1993 graduate of Gonzaga University School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude . She received her B.A. in Law and Society from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1990. Tammy was a law clerk and bailiff in Snohomish County Superior Court for two years. She practiced law at the law firm of Lee, Smart, Cook, Martin & Patterson for over ten years, trying thirteen cases to verdict. She was promoted to shareholder at Lee Smart in 2002. In 2007 Tammy joined Floyd, Pflueger & Ringer and in 2008 she became a Partner.
Tammy was twice-voted a "Rising Star" by Washington Law and Politics Magazine, and was named a "Super Lawyer" by the same magazine in 2002. She is AB-rated by her peers in Martindale-Hubbell. She is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, King County Bar Association, Snohomish County Bar Association, and Washington Women Lawyers.
Tammy's practice is focused on liability defense in a variety of complex civil litigation cases. She represents physicians, hospitals and other health care providers against claims of professional negligence and product liability. She works with major Western Washington retailers in premises liability cases and personal lines clients in automobile liability cases. She is a regular speaker and contributor to the Washington Cemetery and Funeral Association and specializes in defense of funeral homes, cemeteries, and columbariums. Her general liability experience also encompasses construction site injury cases and defense of human services providers such as adult daycare facilities and nursing homes. She has extensive experience in Washington State Superior and District Courts, all divisions of the Court of Appeals in Washington, and both the Eastern Division and Western Division of the Federal District Courts in Washington. She routinely lectures in premises liability cases and in winning trial techniques.
Tammy enjoys traveling internationally and decorating her mid-century modern home in Ballard. In her spare time, Tammy is the band leader and singer in the jazz and swing band, "Tammy & The Bachelors."
